How to price design services – with Chris Do

Money is often a touchy subject to discuss in our industry but an important one nonetheless. I’m glad that people such as Chris Do have started to be openly discuss this topic and share how their pricing model. I believe the future of design and the future of work in general will become decentralized, markets become international and borders disappear. In an environment such as this, the ability to justly price and sell yourself irrespective of geographical location or educational background is vital. We all need to learn how to talk business, not just design.

There’s an old saying in showbiz – “Success is about the small ‘s’ and the big ‘B’ “.  You need to do a lot of business to get a bit of show. The same principle applies in design.
